Copper Canyon Black Pearl

Copper Canyon Black Pearl aka “Gracie” is a special doe to me because I delivered her and because she is a daughter from our beloved Blissberry Bling Bling. My mother in-law Brenda usually delivers the goats and is in charge of our herd management program but she was out the day Gracie and her brothers were born. I remember holding her in a towel after she was cleaned up and feeling so proud. She was our first Valerian daughter and a really neat doe in her own right. As a junior she consistently placed at or neat the top of her class and she won reserve grand 3 times. As a FF 2 yo this year she was competitive and placed near the top of her class consistently. She is a long, tall doe that will benefit from another year of maturity. Dairy and a nice brisket. She also has a beautiful, productive udder. Good attachment, good medial and good teat placement. She consistently milked 10 lbs per day well into the August heat in Texas and easily won her milk star on all 3 criteria in 5 months as a FF 2yo. She was easily the best FF milker we’ve had on our place to date even out producing what our Sunny did a FF 2 yo. We are so excited to see how Gracie matures and grows in the coming years.

As a FF Gracie had a beautiful buckling. So long, tall and dairy and just a real eye catcher. I so wished he had been a doeling and that is why we are repeating her breeding to Blissberry Oh Yeah this year. Our fingers are crossed and we are thinking pink.

If you are looking to get a kid out of a heavy milking, easy keeper who does well in the ring and has a well structured udder, then this is a good option.
